This unit is flawless and is less than 1 year old. It replaced the MDA/MCD1000 in my system and the improvement in sound was remarkable. The reviews and the owner comments on the various audio sites are terrific. Anyone reading about this very special player/DAC already knows the details of its performance and the physical beauty of the piece. I have sold every other piece of my McIntosh equipment only because I am setting out on a new audio adventure. Of all the components I have ever had in my system, this one made the most dramatic improvement.
