McIntosh MX 112 Tuner Preamplifier w/L12 Cabinet

This is a lovely McIntosh MX 112 tuner preamplifier with the original L12 model wooden cabinet. Judging by Audiogon's AGS audio grading scale, the tuner itself is absolutely an Excellent 9/10. As per the guidelines, the electronics look factory fresh except for dust in crevices (and, being stored in the L12 cabinet. there's not even much dust on this MX112). The plating on the i/o connectors shows no discoloration or oxidation. The MX 112 has never been rack mounted. The chrome has no pitting and no discoloration. There really are only the slightest of blemishes on this unit. I see three tiny scratches on the top (below the "power transformer" sticker), and 3 or 4 tiny pinhole-sized blemishes on the black background beneath the glass on the front of the unit. When powered on, you can not see the backlight through these pinholes, so the only way they are really noticeable is if you tilt the unit a certain way under bright light. The bottom of the "P" in "Panloc" on the lower left appears to be worn away. Again, only very tiny cosmetic blemishes. This is truly an excellent 9/10 gorgeous unit. All functions have been tested. There is no static in the knobs. All inputs work wonderfully - both phono, tape, etc. The L12 slant-leg wooden cabinet would be graded "Good" 7/10 by AGS. There is some wear along the lower left & right corners on the right side. The worst of the wear is about 1" on the right side, lower right corner. The veneer is chipped away. That is the worst though, and is still pretty small, and will not be readily noticeable when the unit is installed in your home. There is one tiny, not-very-noticeable dent on the top, upper left corner. The rest of the cabinet looks fantastic. The top and sides are surprisingly scratch-free. This L12 cabinet will also fit models: MR67, MR71, MR73, MR77, MI3, C22, C24, C26, C28, MC2505, MX110, MX113, MX114, and MX115.
