I purchased this unit ten years ago off Audiogon and I used it off and on for the past 10 years. It is a great sounding tuner and probably the best tuner ever made by McIntosh. Everything works including meters, all rotary switches, volume control, lighting, mechanical tuner section.
Physically it is definitely not a mint tuner and has pitting and fine scratches on the entire metal chassis. Look at the photographs carefully. I took one inch macro close-up photo’s so it's easy to see the condition it is in. The front of the panel is in good condition but there are a few scratches on the aluminum panel below the tuning dial. The tuning and muting knobs also have scratches on the front face of the knob. The front glass is clear but there is a two inch thin scratch in front of the signal meter. It really does not stand out unless you look carefully at the front panel.
The wooden case with panalocks needs touch up work as two corners are chipped and could use some stain/repair (one corner has been poorly repaired). The tuner looks best inside the wood cabinet. Recently I tested all tubes and replaced a few weak tubes with NOS Tungsol's.
I am in New Orleans for Jazz Fest and would not be able to ship until the Tuesday, May 8th.
