Meyer Sound Laboratories, Inc. HD-2w PAIR HD-2w SELF-POWERED HIGH-DEFINITION MID-FIELD MONITORS

This pair of Meyer studio monitors is the next generation of the famous HD-1 monitor. They are no longer being produced at Meyer, and so are listed on their website as a legacy product. The "w" in the product name refers to wider angle of sound distribution.

They are self-powered, each speaker cabinet containing a 10-inch cone low-frequency driver, with its own 200-watt amplifier, and a high-frequency driver with its own amp, rated at 100 watts. PDF with all specs and technical info available upon request.

This pair of speakers was used only for in-home playing of CDs, and so has almost no wear, except for very slight cabinet abrasions. Grill clothes are very clean and removable.

The set comes with a complete set of cables (power and RCA-type), extra fuses and a pair of speaker stands, as seen in the photos. These were originally acquired in a trade with Meyer Sound. We were unable to determine the original price of these speakers. By comparison the current retail price of a pair of HD-1 monitors is $8800.

Speakers weigh 70 pounds each and the stand plus cables for each speaker weigh 10 pounds each. (Each speaker will ship in its own reinforced box and the stands/cables in a separate box.) Because the speakers are large and heavy, special care is being taken with packing and shipping via FedEx Ground. Buyer pays shipping. Cost will vary with shipping destination.
