Michael Wolff Audio 5 ft. Carbon Ribbon Source Power Cable Oyaide Plugs Super rare and desired, last version made.

This is a legendary and extremely rare power cable hand made for me by Mr. Wolff. I was often in contact with the designer and was frequently among those that would test his latest cables for feedback before release.

These virtually never come up for sale because there can be no more of them made, and because no lucky owner in their right mind would give one up. It is with heavy heart that I reluctantly let this one go.

The model up for auction here was the latest and greatest (and sadly last) version of his power cable for sources (he rates it up to 400 watts). Basically, you can use this with any piece of equipment save for big receivers and heavy-duty solid state power amps.

5 feet in length. This unit contains the extremely high-end Oyaide plugs that I selected and preferred over several other Oyaide models with this cable (I was part of his circle for testing things like different IECs). This has the P-079 and C-079 Oyaide IECs, which are $250 retail for both.

Wolff frequently updated and changed the nature of the wiring inside, though all his cables extensively used his exclusive carbon fiber ribbons in addition to other metals. I no longer have record of our conversation about exactly which configuration ended up in this version of the cable, I recall it had some copper and I believe some silver as well. In any case, this represented his latest thinking on the cable internal design at the time it was made for me near the event of his untimely passing.
