Ming Da’s flagship high power amplifier, the MD75 is an upgraded version of their MC34AB with Upgraded MCaps, bias control, Ming Da’s European 120v transformers and much more! The MC 34AB uses up to 12 tubes and packs a walloping 75 watts of power delivered by its dual mono / power humpty configuration. Its flexible nature allows it to be used as an integrated or basic amp in ultra linear or triode mode.
The new MD 75 was created special for the USA market to offer a high power amplifier at an outstanding value. The MD 75 offers the ability to switch between EL34 / 6CA7 type tubes and KT88 / 6550 tubes. Pacific Valve offers this amp in a variety of tube configurations designed to meet budget and sound requirements. A variety of circuit changes were done with original MC34AB to support the high bias current of the KT88 / 6550 tube set. The bias controls are on top of the unit and bias is easily adjusted. The outboard “Power Humpty” consisting of two upgraded oxygen free hand wound copper transformers that connects to the amplifier via two high quality 8 pin cables. The advantage of the Power Humpty is increased dynamic range, low noise and low end response for the most demanding of speaker loads and music.
The MD75 can be used as an integrated amp or, with a flip of a switch, turn into a basic amp for use with a preamp. The MD75 can also be placed in Triode mode, where its power is reduced to 40 watts per channel or in ultralinear mode for the conservative 75 watts per channel.
