This self-powered, stereo speaker pair is in great condition and the value here is fabulous.   The A5 model (without the "plus" sign) came first. Then the design was upgraded and improved in several ways and re-released as the A5+ model. This is the A5+, not the older A5. - These were my personal workhorse speakers for several years. Now I am upgrading but these still sound wonderful and are an outstanding buy at the listing price, given the realism and quality of the music. These are perfect for someone new to listening or on a budget. Or for a second system somewhere in the house. They were my primary system for years. They have a very neutral, transparent, realistic sound with just about any kind of music. Good monitors for an up-and-coming musician.  -
They integrate easily with any typical stereo DAC, preamp, receiver, computer, phone, or other player that has either a standard analog audio Line Out or even a headphone jack. They have plenty of power for even a larger listening space and the bass is unbelievable for a powered speaker pair in this price tier. However you listen, you can have these playing in a few minutes. Everything you need to connect them is included. This model is still in production. It has been wildly popular for years and is very well-reviewed.  -
You do not need a power amplifier with these. Their amplifier is contained inside the left speaker. The speakers and amp were developed and tuned specifically for each other.
