This listing is for a used pair of Bowers & Wilkins Nautilus 801 loudspeakers. This pair have been tested and are in complete operational condition. All the drivers are clean and clear with no noise or distortion. The surrounds, caps, domes, and cones are all perfect with no rips, tears, dents, or holes. The grills for the midrange drivers and woofers are included. They are perfect as well with no dirt, no snags, no holes, no cracks, no broken pieces.

If you are looking for world-class performance the Nautilus 801 will meet your requirement. You will rediscover your music collection with this pair. I have been using a Mark Levinson No. 336 and 335 amplifiers, Proceed Amp 5, Bryston 4B SST2, and either a Levinson No. 380S or Proceed AVP preamplifier and find no faults. Music concert events and film soundtracks are reproduced with power, weight, clarity, and coherence that is only reserved for the finest of sound systems.

Cosmetically these examples are excellent. The cabinets are beautiful with very minor signs of wear or detriment. These are absolutely physically clean with no dirt or nicotine contamination easily in 8/10 shape.

IMPORTANT ISSUE REGARDING TRANSPORT AND THE FST KEVLAR MIDRANGE DRIVERS:

I also have the transit bars, transit cap locks, and screws that are installed in the rear of the 801N when they are being transported. If you look at the rear of the speaker there is a cosmetic circular aluminum trim cap that fits in the opening. You remove this to expose the drawbar housing. The transit bars are an aluminum sleeve that fit over the end of the drawbar housing and the transit cap lock and screw pin the drawbar in place to keep it from moving and potentially damaging the midrange driver during transport. This is very important when transporting these speakers in a vehicle.

This listing is prescribed for local pick up only. I do not have the shipping cartons. The buyer is responsible to make arrangements to pick these up, have the proper vehicle, proper materials to move these, and two people to load. These are 225 pounds each. I can recommend a local moving company that deals with antiques, fine art, pianos, and high-end audio equipment for delivery to the Chicago area and suburbs. They are the utmost professionals and will make it very easy for the buyer.
