These have been 100% reliable, with NO ISSUES....ever.

Speakers have thick, CAST ALUMINUM CABINETS, with no parallel surfaces (no standing waves to muddy the sound). If these were sold today, they would VERY likely cost double or even triple, what they sold for. The only speakers I know of that have 100 % metal cabinets are MAGICO, and TOTEM element speakers speakers (BOTH are INSANELY expensive). Metal is strong, non-resonant, doesn’t warp…….these cabinets will outlast you & I !

All drivers are CMMD (Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphram). They are aluminum drivers with a ceramic anodization layer on top.
I had the powered version of the 2.6’s, and sold them and purchased the non-powered 2.6’s. They sound better in every way. With the amp out of the path, the midwoofer was better in every regard. Cleaner, clearer, more detailed, more organic, better soundstage.
These are extremely detailed speakers, but in a non forced kind of way. In my experience, speakers that force detail, give you listening fatigue quickly. They also have a very nice soundstage (monitor speakers usually do)
