Up for sale, pair of Kef Reference 1 in gloss black. These are the most current version introduced in late 2014.

Speakers are still sealed in original manufacturer packaging, unopened. Speakers are being sold on behalf of the original owner who purchased these from a Kef dealer in New York about 6 months ago. Owner has decided to sell due to personal financial reasons.

These speakers are the best bookshelf speakers you will ever hear, period. I've personally heard these at several audio events in the past year and they are extraordinary. The Reference series is considered to be Kef's statement piece and an engineering masterpiece. A full range sound in a bookshelf package. You will not find a speaker of this size that will perform at this level at any price. Some early professional reviews are raving about this speaker.

These speakers normally have a 2 month waiting period as they are built to order. The Reference series is manufactured and shipped directly from the UK. Here's an opportunity to own a pair at a very good price and no waiting. I don't expect these speakers to last long on Audiogon.
