Sonus Faber Liuto monitor wood in cherry with stands [Template]

no longer for sale

I purchased these speakers from one of the largest Sonus Faber dealers in the nation.  The original owner traded them in for other equipment.  The speakers were virtually new when I got them and are in excellent condition.  There are no sonic or cosmetic flaws.  Since I am not the original owner, I am rating them  8/10 only because I am not the original owner.  I think they are truly a 9.

There are a couple of tiny nicks on the edges of the speaker stands.   These are almost impossible to see.   The grille cloth is essentially perfect.

The speakers came with the factory stand uprights and metal platform on which the speakers sit.   The dealer did not have the original metal bases however, so I fabricated a pair using 2” thick old growth maple that was sourced from Pierre Sprey at Mapleshade.

I finished the wood bases using hand-rubbed Danish oil to closely match the cherry color of the speakers.  There are four  ¼- 20 inserts on the bottom of each base which accept the spikes or cones of your choice.  Speakers in a Sonus Faber monitor factory box, manual, and cloth covers.  The  info on the box says "smoked oak", the speakers are cherry.

I have owned these lovely monitors since December 2015, and have treated them with respect.  My electronics are excellent all-tube.  My dedicated listening room is small, I don’t play heavy rock , metal,  or head-banger type music.  Our home is non-smoking.  The only reason I am selling is that I recently purchased a pair of Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor M’s.

I am located on Bainbridge Island in the Seattle area and can meet within a reasonable distance.  I’m guessing that shipping via Fed Ex or UPS would be approximately from $100 to $150 for the speakers and the stands and the maple bases.  I only charge actual cost. I think I can pack the speaker stands and bases in one container.  The speakers both fit into a single factory box Thanks for your interest.
