ANTHEM STATEMENT A5 MUTLI-CHANNEL AMP

I offer for sale a Canadian built and designed Anthem Statement A5 five-channel amplifier in beautiful condition. Please, as I always say, forgive the crappy pictures because they in no way do this amp justice.

I purchased this amplifier (as well as a Statement P2) brand new from an authorized Anthem dealer, and I am the original owner. Serial # is 138525 and the voltage is 120 VAC.

I don't remember the exact year of purchase but I'm guessing somewhere around 2008. The gorgeous black face-plate is the "standard" version at 19 and 1/4 inches wide at the face-plate and has no blemishes that I can see.  Same with the black metal case. I have rated the amp an 8 out of 10 because of its age.

According to the original owners manual (included), with ALL 5 channels driven, the A5 will output 180 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 265 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and 340 watts into 2 ohms, although the 2 ohm load requires "special test conditions," whatever that means.

It has balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs for all channels; a trigger input and output, and, my favorite, an "Auto-On" feature which turns the amp on automatically (with no trigger wires) once it senses an input signal on any channel, and switches off after 20 minutes of no input signal.

The amp and all of its functions has worked flawlessly and has never needed servicing of any kind. I am offering the A5 for sale now because in my current "Atmos" configuration of my home theater, I no longer have any use for a 5 channel amp.

This amp measures 19 and 1/4 inches wide, 19 and 1/2 inches deep, and nearly 8 inches high with feet included. It weighs in at a solid 57 pounds.

As many Audiogon members know, I refrain from attempting to describe the "sound" of an amplifier because it would be meaningless.  There are several very positive reviews online of the A5 so please, search away.

I will ship to the continental United States only in the original, double-box Anthem carton (pictured). Also included is the original power cord and manual. I will ship with either FedEx (preferred) or UPS with full insurance. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges and the 3% Pay Pal fee.
