Critically praised five-channel amplifier designed by audio legend John Curl and built to last. Perfect component to meet any demanding dynamic musical and cinematic requirements.
Churning out 250 watts per channel into eight ohms, the Halo series A51 is a high-bias Class A / Class AB operating amp in a direct-coupled design with no capacitors or inductors in the signal path, and powered by a massive 2.2 kVa toroidal transformer.
It uses a MOSFET driver stage complemented by a JFET input stage, features both balanced and unbalanced input connections, and 24-karat gold five-way binding posts. Its little brother, the A31, is rated a Class A recommended component. The A51 has the same components, just two additional output modules.
I am the original owner of this powerhouse and have used it for approximately six months. Given frequent moves, I have not been able to use it as originally planned, and it has been boxed up in climate-controlled storage. Will ship in original boxes with original manuals and accessories. Condition is excellent, although I always rate condition very conservatively.
NOTE: this model is currently set for 120 volt operation. Per design specs, it can be re-wired internally for 220-240 volt operation. Parasound engineers have provided the instructions to re-wire internally, which seller will provide. It is a change that can be made by an experienced tech and should take less than 10 minutes.
Given current seller location in EU (Portugal), and potentially high shipping cost outside of EU, this sale is limited to potential offers from EU-based buyers.
Buyer pays shipping and Paypal fee. Thanks for looking.
