This is a Big Boy power amp. The A5cr is powerful(255 watts/ch 8 ohms), balanced and very liquid sounding for a solid state amp. One of the best power amps that musical fidelity has ever produced. Unlike the A5 Integrated amp(same power), the dedicated A5 amp has twice the number of output devices per channel(8) and a current output over twice as high(200 amps vs 75). It is in short a powerhouse with beautiful sound. Inside, it looks identical to the Musical Fidelity M6PRX sold by Audio Advisor for $3499. I always thought low powered amps sounded better than higher powered ones, but this one disproved me. What really stands out is its liquidity. Includes manual and power cord.
