Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista DAC

Up for sale is a DAC from Musical Fidelity. This is the Tri-Vista model, which is tube based.

It has one optical and one digital input (no USB), with RCA stereo outputs. While you can select the source manually, it will automatically lock-on to a live input. The sound is wonderful. It adds a special warmth to the digital signal, kind of like the digital equivalent of a warm candle. It is built like a tank (damn thing weighs 30 lbs), and the other cool thing is that the feet have a frosted window with internal LED's. The feet glow orange when you first turn the unit on, and then turn to blue when the tubes warm up. How cool is that?

I am the 3rd owner. I bought this unit about a year ago from another A’gon member, who had bought it used. I bought it specifically as the DAC interface for my Olive Musica digital music server. It has since been replaced by the internal DAC on my Sony STR-DA5600. (nice piece of gear BTW). I currently have way too much surplus gear, and the tax man has his hand open, so I am looking to trim my quiver a bit.

Not upgraded. Original tubes as far as I know. 100% functional. Don't know the mfg date, but the serial number is T2Y1553. Very minor scratches on the top of the unit, and some minor marks on the front panel.
