I used this tube buffer between my DAC and preamp. IMHO the buffer took the "edge" off my DAC and added a nice musical presence. Which sold me on the idea of tubes. I have since upgraded to a tubed preamp and the buffer has been sitting in a drawer for the past 4 years. It is in excellent shape and I am quite sure has many hours left on the tubes.
