Greetings from Ember Audio + Video! We are a hi-fi dealership in the heart of Winston-Salem, NC, and in less than two weeks time we shall be closing our doors. Thus, we have a bunch of fantastic products for amazing deals, as we are liquidating this incredible stock we have amassed over the years.
For sale today we have a pair of AudioQuest Nighthawk Headphones. The sole headphones of a fantastic cable company, these semi-closed back headphones are always euphonic and a pleasure to listen to, and are extremely well-built and comfortable to wear both stationary and on the go. Additionally, they are efficient enough to be driven without an amplifier, so you can enjoy these headphones with any source available, including your phone!
These were among Stereophile's Recommended Components 2016:
"The AudioQuest NightHawk headphones feature dynamic drivers with 50mm bio-cellulose cones, housed in semi-open earcups with 3D-printed diffuser grilles. The cups themselves are molded from 'liquid wood' and cushioned with soft 'protein leather' earpads. Each pair comes with two 8' cables: a rather stiff perfectionist-quality one for listening at home, and a more flexible one for greater convenience while traveling (and a balanced-mode cable is available for an additional $109.95). Initially, HR felt that the NightHawks sounded 'dull, dark, foggy, and compressed'—but after being told that they require considerable break-in time, he set about giving them just that, and ultimately declared that the 'phones were 'transparent in a way I haven't quite experienced before.' HR's summation: 'The NightHawks take my listening to classical, opera, and choral music to levels I can only describe as psychedelic.' (Vol.38 No.12 WWW)"
Condition:
These have been our demo models at the shop, and have spent most of their life nestled away in their case or our for a listening. This pair fell to the floor one day and sustained one small crack and one chip, and although these mars do not degrade from the sound quality, they are certainly significant enough from a cosmetic perspective to take a significant reduction off. The chip is on the front right headphone, while the crack is on the front-left. We've decided to sell these at $350, which is a $249 reduction (or 41.5% off!) from their retail value of $599. These come with the original case and cables, and is certainly a great grab if you do not mind minor cosmetic flaws. These cracks have been photographed so you may see the extent.

Don't hesitate to contact us with any questions! We're clearing out a whole showroom of stuff so keep your eyes peeled for a whole raft of big things, little things, baubles, widgets and such. We're happy to answer any questions you have but let's limit them to audio, love, robots and sandwiches - our areas of expertise. If you ask us about child-rearing or ponies we'll give you terrible advice anyway and no one wins. Yes? Yes.
Happy Listening,
