Precision and passion:  No Hi-Fi headphones embody these principles like the T1 from beyerdynamic.   The new Tesla drivers provide high-efficiency with extraordinarily precise and detailed sound.

Hand-crafted in Germany, the T1 offers superior build quality with necessary comfort for long listening sessions.

Tesla Technology: 

Completely re-engineered transducers (drivers) based on a neodymium ring magnet with optimized magnetic field characteristics.

This combination creates a magnetic field inside the transducer which is far stronger (> 1,2 Tesla - measuring unit for magnetic flux density - with current headphones the strength of the magnetic field is < 0,65 Tesla) than in standard headphones.

Because of this increased magnetic field, the voice coil is more compact but still provides a very high degree of efficiency.

The membrane, consisting of a 3 layer "compound foil", delivers an extremely precise frequency response and guarantees, in collaboration with the strong magnet, a transparent and distortion free sound.

Frequency Response:  5 ~ 50,000 Hz.

Impedance:  Rated 600 Ω.

Sensitivity:  

102 dB SPL at 500 Hz at 1 mW, which is 6 dB more than the DT880's 96 dB rating.

1 mW is 775 mV at 600 Ω, thus 1V is 1.67 mW or +2.2 dBm into 600 Ω, so 1V gives 104.2 dB SPL.

T. H. D.:  Less than 0.05% at 1 mW at 500 Hz (102 dB SPL).

Power Handling and MOL:

300 mW, which gives 126 dB SPL at 500 Hz.

300 mW is 24.8 dBm or 13.4 volts at 600 Ω.

Case:  Free aluminum case included. 

Also, this headphone can be fitted with new connectors for use with headphone amps that have symmetrical (balanced) drive outputs.  Just replace the 1/4" phone plug with a 4-pin XLR or a pair of 3-pin XLR (L&R).  This headphone running balanced on a Bryston BHA-1 headphone amp is fantastic!!  Headphones have never sounded better!!!

This headphone has seen very little use and is in perfect condition.
