These are a special pair of limited edition Grados that live up to their name. Grado started in 1952/1953 and has been thriving ever since. In the summer of 2009, Grado decided to give their loyal enthusiasts an opportunity to procure a pair of headphones dedicated to the Head-Fi community. Purchase was limited to Head-Fi members and had to be purchased through TTVJ.

Ironically, the signature mark of these headphones is that after the 20th pair, the aluminum company unfortunately put in Head-F1 instead of Head-Fi. Although this was a mistake, it was kind of a kitchy element to these specific headphones dedicated to the Head-Fi community. Another key feature, is that the aluminum housing is the same housing used on the PS1000s which were $1,799 at the time so it was nice to be able to offer the community the housing same material at a much discounted price.

I find these to be very dynamic and much improved over the SR225i or 325i. I would find these most similar to the RS1i, but everybody has different perspectives on them. I have owned a ton of Grados, and I wish I could keep these, but I have too many and I'll probably regret selling these, as they're the lowest S/N I have of the HF2s.

Includes: Grado HF-2 Headphones, New Ear Cushions (they've been put on), Previous Ear Cushions (in the bag that the new ones came in), and a very nice compact case. Perfect size for this and has a little mesh housing for the cable.

If you're a Grado aficionado and don't have these, I would definitely pick them up. They're becoming increasingly harder to find.
