Stax SR-007 Omega II ** MK1 ** (see description)

Regrettably, selling my Stax SR-007 MK1 headphones, hoping to find them a new home.

Story: I purchased the SR-009 thinking they would be a huge upgrade, but I was surprised how much I still liked the 007's - in fact, it's taken me over a year to decide which ones to keep. The SR-007 has its own beautiful sound signature, a little darker, but more pleasant, forgiving, and intimate than the SR-009's. Sadly, I can't keep both.

The sound is amazing (I just listened to them on my Woo WES...almost pulled the listing, they sounded so good).

However, I'm not the original owner, and let's just say they were "well-loved" by the previous enthusiast. I ended up replacing the:
1) dual headband
2) headpad
3) earpads
with genuine Stax parts. Unfortunately, the original brown color parts are out of production, and so I could only source black color parts from Stax. This means that the headband reads "SR-007 MKII" across the top, even though this is clearly an MK1. I'm including the original brown earpads, but I didn't keep the original headband or headpad. These new parts have about 1 year of use on them, so they're not perfect, but they're in decent shape (see photos). The nice thing is that the earpads are readily available from Stax, should you want new ones.

There's nothing currently in production that sounds quite like the 007 MKI's. If you're reading this, you probably already know that you'll need a Stax electrostatic amplifier

PLEASE NOTE: I've gotten quite a few inquiries asking what the serial number is. I do not know, and I do not see a serial number printed or engraved anywhere. If this is at all an issue for you, please do not make an offer. Otherwise, this is clearly an authentic Stax 007, and it's an MK1 (you can tell by the color scheme).
