Peak Consult Princess Signature Speakers w/Stands In Great Shape with Low Reserve

We recently moved to a new, larger location across the street and have expanded our product portfolio. We have many of the best brands in the business on display, and a top-flight installation department.

FOR SALE: One USED pair of Peak Consult Princess Signature Stand-mount speakers with stands included. They are handcrafted in Denmark, and they are serial number pair 4160.

I am rating these at 8/10, but they should probably be 9/10. It's just that you might find some imperfection I did not!

I must confess that I ALMOST kept these for myself. There are two reasons why…

I love QUAD ESL speakers. I like deep bass, and I like extended highs, but it’s all about the midrange and sound-staging for me. I like a pinpoint image, and I like to hear music, not speakers.

These come closest to impersonating the sound of a pair of hard-to-place QUAD ESL speakers of any reasonably sized speaker I know. They are easy to place, easy to power, and also play fairly loud, all of which the QUAD does NOT do as well.

The other reason is the cabinetry. I do not love shiny speaker finishes, which seem to be all the rage. These speakers have that hand-made-from-real-wood look that I love. The finish-work is beautiful, but the cabinetmakers resisted the now-common 14 layers of plastic over the wood look that everything seems to have.

These speakers are beautifully made in every detail.

Apparently, they sell for AT LEAST $10,000 per pair, so they certainly SHOULD be well made!

The auction includes the two speakers, the two beautiful stands, and all the grills, which are all in great shape. The photos show one speaker with the grill on and one with it off, but they are both complete with the grills.

We even have the original box.

On the other hand, the speakers get placed in the box with the stands attached. That does NOT look safe, to me, for UPS shipping.

I guess delivery trucking companies in Denmark must be more gentle than in the US.

We will put the stands in the original box, and pack the speakers VERY carefully in their own boxes, then overbox the two speaker boxes.

We want these to arrive to you in the great condition they are in now.

Better yet, you can pick them up at the store if you live in the area. If so, you will need to pay tax, though.

I have looked them over and I see no significant blemishes to report. They are in fantastic shape.

PRICING: We are setting the reserve low at $2488 for the pair. I see that as a bit of a bargain, and maybe even the best speaker value we have had on Audiogon yet.
