Produced by Ralph Karsten of Atma-Sphere, using the fabled 347-AXT transformers from Jensen.  These are the same transformers Ralph uses in his MP-3 and MP-1 preamps when clients require additional gain.  David Berning also uses these transformers in his top-of-the-line ZOTL PreOne preamp.

The special box built by Ralph offers both balanced and unbalanced inputs/outputs, with a built-in toggle for switching duties.  A loading strip was also installed for resistor loading, should you choose to go that route.  Configured in the 1:8 ratio, offering 18db of clean gain, but can be easily rewired to offer 21db or 27db of gain.

I used this with numerous DL103 variants, a Lyra Delos, Dynavector 17D3, and Shelter 901.  It never disappointed, especially with the ability to resistively load each cartridge.  The sound is balanced and full, the highs are clear and in no way rounded off, the bass is full and taut, with zero bloat.  The added gain of a SUT is delivered so effortlessly, and never more so than with the Jensen 347-AXT’s (which sell for $500/pair, the transformers alone).

I absolutely love this SUT, as it bested my Auditorium23, and was leagues above other Jensen SUT’s I’ve owned in the past.  But my turntable has an iron platter (Thorens 124), so I went with an MM cart to avoid magnetism issues.  It is in great shape, and I will pack it for a trip to the moon.  I will ship anywhere in the CONUS for free.  I also cover Audiogon and PayPal fees.  Pickup is also welcome.  Feel free to send questions, and thank you for your consideration.
