Up for sale is the newer version of the phonomenia II+ preamp. I bought it at the beginning of August of this year to go with the ortofon Rondo blue (up for sale as well).
I just don't really have the room in my rack for an external preamp. So I'm down scaling and simplifying my analog front end.
I have the original box and manual.
This preamp will work with just about any cartridge. Capacitance, resistance, and gain are all selectable via dip switches on the back panel. I've used it on a moderately low output MC and a MM without issue. I tested it at its max gain and it was quiet (couldn't hear any hum more than a few inches away from my speakers at normal listening volume).
Nice preamp, just overkill for my needs.
NOTE: This is not the NOVA. Someone just brought it to my attention that Nova is in the title. That was just an autofill from the Audiogon fly-down that I didn't erase. I can't edit the title to fix it.
This unit has a wall-wart power supply and is not battery powered.
