The Sonic Frontiers SFP-1 Phono Stage was developed for the audiophile who recognizes analog as the most revealing and musically satisfying signal source.

The SFP-1 works exclusively with the amplification of delicate low level signals that are produced from phono cartridges. Amplifying these signals to be accepted by line level amplification devices, the SFP-1 offers flexibility to many preamplifiers of the "digital age" with no phono inputs. In addition, since the SFP-1 is housed in its own high mass chassis, it is not compromised by a shared power supply or cross talk as are many phono stages accompanied with line level preamplifiers and thus surpasses these all-in-one units in both dynamics and overall sonic performance.

• all units are thoroughly cleaned and fully detailed (this includes faceplates, displays, chassis, internal chassis compartments, etc.).
• any missing accessory items (cords, manuals, tools, remotes, etc.) are replaced if still available.
• any missing or worn chassis hardware is replaced.
• all electrical connections are "specially" cleaned and contact-enhanced as necessary.
• units go through a full battery of electrical tests, as comprehensive (if not more) than original production testing. Any problems found are fully rectified.
• any internal electronic parts that have failed (including those that are aged, worn-out or burned out) are replaced with parts that meet or exceed original factory specifications.
• all tubes are checked and all units are sold with a tube set which has passed all acceptable noise, gain, transconductance, and microphonics standards.
• calibration adjustments are made to ensure each unit meets or exceeds original factory standards.
• all units are burned in for a full 24 hours before one last test, after which they are re-packed for sale.
