This is a simple, elegant and fabulous solid-state phono-pre for the price. Soundsmith uses it for demoing it's cartridges at all price points. I originally purchased it along with a Soundsmith Zephyr, but since have used it very successfully with cartridges from other manufacturers. Gain is 43dB.
