Space-Tech Laboratory P-105 Phono Preamp MM/MC

All-tube MM and MC phono stage using 6BX5 rectifier tube, a pair of 12 AX7's and a pair of 6SL7's, for which you can substitute 6SN7's of your favorite flavor. Has balance pots on top of chassis (convenient since most preamps lack them now), and the brilliant and innovative feature of a pot on the front that can adjust the MC loading between 100 ohms and 50K ohms continuously and while the music is playing. You can use MC's as low as 0.4mV, I don't know the gain in dB. It is useful to really tune in your MC cartridge performance. Very quiet, all hand-wired custom point-to-point construction. Albert is the engineer and builder - see his website for more information (he's in Canada). I'm the second owner, and the unit seems to be about 3 years old. No manual -everything is intuitive. Outputs: both single-ended and balanced. Priced competitively - it is very nice though relatively obscure on the audio radar.
