Out for sale is a top of the line Tamura MC step-up transformer.
It employs toroidal core (I assume Permalloy) with double primary impedance: 3-10Ohm and 20-40Ohm.
You will not find much info about them on the web as they were only sold in Japan and were extremely expansive.
I was using them with different kind of cartridges as Lyra, Audio Technica and Ortofon and these transformers have always extracted the very best from these cartridges.
I have compared these transformers with the Tango MCT-999 and sold the tango that same day as there was nothing to compare.....
