Here is what I call a Pilot AA-100. For the Pilot lovers out there, of course, there was no AA-100. This amp was built using a Pilot 264 power transformer, and a pair of Heathkit AA-100 output tranny's, and was built off the Pilot 264 schematic, with a few modifications, primarily more power supply filtering. Individual bias jacks and pots are added for each output tube, as well as left/right volume pots. Tubes are vintage 12au7's and 12AT7; and a new quad of E.H. 7591 output tubes. The amp runs dead quiet and sounds absolutely superb. Huge low end, and a wonderful soundstage. Basically, it sounds like the 264, but looks a helluva lot nicer.
