Magnepan's MG-1.7 is exceptional! As per TAS's review: "combination of neutrality, coherence, transient speed, image size, dispersion, dimensionality and bloom, and resolution of texture". And at $1,290, a gift that last years. Disclosures: musically they are perfect, grills are great (one was replaced) and alum side rails look really nice (a couple of imperceptible scuffs). Their Grey color is both attractive and blends well with furniture. Rated 8/10.
