Magnepan tympani iv speakers for sale. Incredible sounding speakers. Driving them with VTL Wotans (also for sale). These were bought new in 1984 by a personal friend of mine. In 2009 he sent them to Magnepan for checkup and reconditioned them as follows:

The bass and midrange panels were stripped and rewired.
2 new tweeters
6 new covers
the -L input plate was replaced ( it was bent )

Perfect operational condition. and should last a new owner many years of bliss. The physical condition is very good. There are some minor marks on one of the bass fabric panels plus one panel has some pulled fabric (see last picture).

The panels foldup these can be shipped fedex in two separate boxes (130 pounds each). I have a local box company that can make a pair of double insulated boxes for $50 for the pair which are stronger than the original. I would recommend the crossovers are shipped in another smaller box. Fedex quote for shipping is $380 for the east coast and $340 to west coast.

Each speaker fully extended is 51 (h) x 72 (W) x 1 although when angled in are a considerably smaller footprint.

For the money they are hard to beat.
