Precision Fidelity C-7A Revised

Hello: I am selling a great and rare to come by Precision Fidelity C-7A Revised tube preamplifier. The tube comlement consists of four 12AX7's and two 12AU7's: The unit comes with premium NOS 12AX7's and two fabulous RCA Cleartop 12AU7's. This preamp was modified to upgrade the two volume pots to TKD 2511 potentiometers bought from Michael Percy Audio. It comes with dampening material along the inside of the top cover to eliminate any resonances. Functionally the unit is in fabulous condition; cosmetically the top cover has several scratches, hence the decreased Audiogon rating.

PLEASE NOTE: This is the extremely rare C-7A Revised and should not be confused with the mere C-7 or C-7A. This Revised version includes circuitry layout on NASA's FR-4 print board.

I hesitate to sell this unit because it so rare, but I am looking to consolidate our system by using a preamp -- The CAT Ultimate -- with MC phono gain rather than a step-up for very low output MC cartridges as is required when using the Precision Fidelity. The unit comes with a copy of the manual and schematic as well as a receipt from Michael Percy Audio for the upgraded TKD pots.
