Pro-ject 6.1 Turntable

Here is a gorgeous jet black Pro-Jet 6.1 audiophile turntable; the unit is in superb condition. The precision balanced resonance-optimized MDF platter weighs in at a substantial 4.4 pounds. The platter's stainless steel axle rests on a Teflon bearing plate in a bronze bearing housing. Also, atop the platter rests a ¼" piece of glass and upon the glass is a felt pad -- making for a dynamic and luxury sound. A bubble level is built into the plinth for easy leveling, and the MDF plinth sits upon three height adjustable Sorbothane™ damped aluminum cone shaped feet providing easy leveling. Additionally, the low-noise motor is decoupled from the plinth which further reduces unwanted vibration and resonances. The unit comes with a 9 1/2-inch tonearm tube with integrated Headshell, and I would classify the tonearm as a medium mass arm. The tonearm also features an inverted thrust bearing with two hardened stainless steel points resting in sapphire thrust pads to maximize the cartridges' performance. Additionally, the tonearm allows for easy adjustment of the stylus vertical tracking angle (VTA), azimuth and overhang, greatly optimizing analog playback for the best possible performance. Detachable RCA interconnects, original record clamp, dust cover [dust cover has 2 cracks at the rear but this does not affect the cover at all] and instruction manual are included also. With the right Phono Cartridge this baby really sings.
