LEXICON RV-8:

SALE IS PENDING !!?

Works perfect. (Price is FIRM)

This is a STEAL, for this battleship build quality, reference class unit.
There are no other RV-8's for sale because they are a TOUR-DE-FORCE unit for home theater, truly reference class performance !

In actual tests, the receiver puts out 189 watts/8 ohms with all channels driven, and 320 watts/4ohms with all ch. driven......This thing is a BEAST !!!!

The Lexicon RV-8 is the combination of the MC-12($8-12,000) processor & the CX-7($4,000) 7 channel, 140 W/ch. Amplifier, all In 1 chassis. If you were to buy just the amp, it would cost much more than I’m asking. It’s compatible with 2 ohm speaker loads (so says Lexicon), YES, this receiver has a REAL amp inside !

Does all the surround formats that matter, while also having LOGIC 7 surround, which is still the best. I’ve Heard the latest, and this is still the best, most immersive format around. That’s why I’m keeping 1 of my RV-8’s for myself. I’ve had 15 AVR’s, & 15(at least) processors, & the fact that I’m keeping the an RV-8 tells you already, which one is the best.

Does not have HDMI, but that is easily solved with a $50-75 HDMI switcher (if more than 1 is needed, otherwise run the HDMI from your player directly to your TV), & run digital coax into the Lexicon RV-8.
Works and sounds great, as I was using it this way.

What the reviews say:
“My reference is the very fine sounding Integra DTR 9.1, and I'm here to tell you the Lexicon stomps all over it. At more than twice the price, it had better, but when I compared the RV-8 to Linn's superb-sounding Kisto pre-pro combined with a pair of Linn 5125 5-channel amplifiers (the Kisto pre-pro alone costs more than the RV-8), the RV-8 performed at least as well sonically, and the RV-8's functionality and configurability far surpass that of the Kisto, though at the expense of the Kisto's elegant simplicity and ease of use.”
“The $3600 Integra, among the best receivers I'd heard up to that point, was surely good enough to draw the most from the moderately priced Infinity system, I thought, but when the RV-8 was installed, I discovered how wrong I was.”
“Together with the Lexicon receiver, the Beta system ($3k) produced an effortless, effervescent, full-bodied, transparent, three-dimensional soundstage one usually associates with speaker systems costing tens of thousands of dollars—and I'm not exaggerating. The pricey Linn Akurate system—a gorgeous looking and sounding system—was gone, but the sound it produced remained in my head, and when the Beta system was driven by the RV-8, a close version of that impressive sound returned to my home theater listening space.”
“The Lexicon RV-8 is, by a wide margin, the best-sounding A/V receiver I have ever heard, and it's surround processing acumen is singular in my experience. So it was a no-brainer for me: I bought the review sample. It is a genuine reference against which I can measure the performance of both A/V receivers and separates. It's a splendid piece that I can recommend with great enthusiasm. If you can drop $7000 on an A/V receiver, get this one. You won't be disappointed."

Brutally powerful (from a review)
“Since the maximum number of input channels is five, we did not drive all 7 channels at once. Driving five channels into 8Ω, the RV-8 delivered 190Wpc at 20Hz and 195Wpc at 1kHz (to the nearest watt) before clipping (1% THD+noise). Into 4Ω, five channels operating, the RV-8 delivered 312Wpc at 20Hz and 322Wpc at 1kHz.With only two channels operating, at 1kHz, the Lexicon clipped at 230Wpc into 8Ω and 385Wpc into 4Ω.—TJN”

I have 2 of these AVR’s and only need 1, that’s why one of them is up for sale.
This AVR is rated an "7". I always rate my gear conservatively. It is in good shape though (look at the pics)
Buy from a seller with over a decade, with a perfect rating, with many transactions...:-)
