Pioneer VSX-49txi THX Home Theater AV Receiver [Template]

Still brand new, in box, and never used.  Removed from box only to take pictures for sale.  This is absolutely the best receiver Pioneer offered in the early 2000's, retailed for $4,500, and, accordingly, has only the highest quality sound.  The remote, by itself, still sells for $350 on ebay.  Originally purchased for a home theater that was never built out, then put in climate controlled storage and forgotten about.  Although it does not have HDMI inputs, that is about its only shortcoming and with 8 multi-channel inputs, a Blu-Ray player that can internally decode the new sound formats and output 8 channel analog will solve that pretty quickly.  The levels of customization available, the sound quality, and the condition of this receiver are all off the high end of the charts. Hi-bit sampling, Per-channel 192/24 Burr Brown DACs, 32 bit DSP, and dual 24bit Motorola processors (hybrid 48 Bit) provide features not found even today on some of the higher end equipment.  Others have commented that there is something special about the construction & build quality, copper connections & shielding of this model that's not there anymore with the new Elites.
