I did days of research on all of these expensive protectors, and name after name of the most respected and expensive units available (sold right here on Audiogon), and My conclusion was 95% are all alike, regardless of price or name and they all use MOV's which grow weaker and fail sooner or later.

There are only three units on the market that let ZERO volts/amps reach you equipment: ZeroSerge, BrickWall and SergeX...a patent is a patent.  That is it, all the rest at some point will fail to protect your gear. 

Of these three, Only Surgex has the rating of A-1-1 the highest designation. These have a Federal certification of Grade A, Class 1, Mode 1 (CID A-A-55818), the highest protection possible...does yours? My failed $1,000  protection unit didn't during a neighborhood lightening strike, and the "UL" stamp meant nothing so I kissed my CD transport, DAC  and theater set up goodbye.

Investigate, that is what I did. If it is good enough for computer server farms, professional music studios, Carnegie Hall, and many more, then I know I am in good company.   They are not fooled by promises. When a local store closed, I bought the stock he had, and I have two left...the rest are on my new equipment.

Plug your existing 'protector conditioner' unit (or even an ordinary $10 power strip) into this SA-20 and have up to 20 amps/ 2400 watts of superior brickwall service to your equipment. 

Please note you need a 20 amp receptacle as shown in the photo ( plug and receptacle have the slit 90 degrees on the hot pin).  If you don't have that pin configuration then you will need to go buy the 20 amp receptacle at Home Depot or where ever.  I will include one if you want it.  Your circuit breaker should be 20 amp.

 Look at these specs, and believe that I hear complete background blackness where it should be, micro details that the surges and 'switching power supplies' pollution masked.
