This is a very very good preamp. TONS of bass, very adjustable, great top end and liguid midrange. I went to an Audio Research PH-7 in search of better sound...not a big improvment to my ears. Bass is better on this PS Audio.
True class A throughout. Has EXTREMELY high-gain for very low output moving coil, as well as lots of adjustments for input impedance/capacitance. Has balanced and single ended outputs.
Gain cell technology that is "gain" adjustable (no sound degrading pots in the signal path).
Look up the reviews and specs on line. Rated "highly recommended".
This was hand-tweaked by Paul McGowan (the P in PS Audio) for minimum hum pickup from the power transformer...made a significant reduction on my .15mV MC cartridg.
Over $1000 when new. Abolutely pristine.
