The Precision Transducer Engineering Phoenix is a powered speaker featuring active equalization, 3 separate amplifiers ( one for each driver) very low noise and substantial dynamic range for a speaker of it's size. It operates in a 32-22KHz +/- 2 dB response window. See the Stereo Times review by Clement Perry,
"Ruthlessly revealing and I am loving it"

Another satisfied Phoenix customer e-mailed us. It plays as loud as the ATC SCM 100'to the right and left of it, and it has outstanding bass as well. But what I like the most is the TONE! Just... beautiful sound. What I had not told you before is that I own quite a few excellent speakers spread around in different rooms in 3 different homes. Some of the speakers are: Wilson Alexandria X2s, Wilson Sophias, B&W 802s, Thiel 3.7s, Various Genelecs, ATCs, Penn Audio, etc. The Phoenix hangs in there with the best of them.
One of the best buys in high end audio.
Simplify your system you only need a source 2 interconnects and 3 power cords. Includes 3 130 watt class AB state of the art power amplifiers, active EQ, Balanced and Unbalanced inputs, 3 position low freqeuncy trim and +- 2 db high frequency trim in .5 db steps.

PTE displayed the Phoenix and the Statement at RMAF 2011 in room 465. People were amazed at the low frequency extension and output of the Phoenix. Most people thought it was the 5' 430lb Statement.
We were having to say "no it's the small ones".
Antelope Audio was so impressed they had us rush ship the Phoenix to use it in their booth at the 2011 AES show in New York and at THE SHOW 2012.
PTE has displayed the Phoenix at THE SHOW 2010,2011,2012, RMAF 2010, 2011 and THE SHOW Newport Beach 2011.
