The L-Sub is in a beautiful black lacquer cabinet There are some surface scratches in the lacquer that make it a 6/10 but it looks excellent. The major one is on the back.

The L-Sub is a remote controlled power subwoofer that works with all the Quad speakers including the electrostatics. It uses a fast 12" Tri-laminate carbon/glass fiber sandwich cone coupled to a 300 watt, RMS, power amplifier. The remote controls phase, high &low input volumes and has 4 programmable memory settings. It is a great way to set up your system, right from your listening position.

As it was designed to work with fast electrostatics it does a great job with any quality speaker.
