Quad Mk II 40 watt monoblocs

Quad of the UK has been re-issuing their famous tube amps and preamps from the past for a few years now. They use better parts, they sound great and are very reliable. They rarely appear on the Used market.

The Quad Mark II 40 monoblocs provide 40 watts of power from two KT88 tubes, by way of Military Spec 6SH7 input tubes and a 5U4G tube rectifier. Ken Kessler of HiFi News called the new Mk II 40s the best amp value under $4500.00. There are 4 and 8 ohm taps on the rear panel. The original Quad-labeled KT88s have very few hours on them, as some other upgraded tubes were used with this amp.

These units are in excellent cosmetic and operational condition. They are less than a year old, they look new and have low hours on them, as they were in rotation with several other amps.
