The big factor to achieve realistic audio, that most people never consider, is the room itself.  Enter Anthems ARC.  This IS NOT Auyssey or any other room correction algorithm floating around out there.  You get a real hi-quality electret condenser microphone, serialized and calibrated software on a disc, and a decent aluminum, boom microphone stand.  You run the program and follow the easy to use instructions.  Once complete, you can print out a before and after room correction graph that will simply amaze you.  We've done this dozens of time in installs and it amazes me every time.   Whats even better is to listen before and after.  I still remember where I was the very first time I set up a processor using the ARC.  It was near midnight and I immediately called my rep, floored at how much better it made a very good acoustically treated home theater sound!
