A rare Gem and it's a genuine pleasure to be offering this up for sale. In fact I can give it no better recommendation than saying that I wish I was rich enough to keep it for myself !

This is the Rega Isis Valve CD player and without doubt it is one of the finest CD players in the world. It improves upon the already brilliant and giant slaying solid state Isis by using valves for the output amplifier. This is the CD player that Rega's Terry Bateman always wanted to build.

Is it as good as a Naim CD555 ? Yes, easily, and in some ways better... and of course, many thousands cheaper. As always it depends how you like your music but suffice to say that the Isis valve has an incredible lush analogue tone, amazing timbral accuracy that very few cdp's can compete with, and an enveloping liquid sound which presents itself all around you as if you are there right in the middle of the music. Dynamically its no slouch either so suitable for your entire disc collection rather than just the airy jazzy female vocally department.

You have to love Rega as a company. The solid build quality of the Isis and it's gargantuan 25kg+ weight has to be seen to be belived. As much as I am a fan of Linn and Naim, the finish and cosmetics of the Isis is beyond anything that either of those two companies have ever produced. Even the weighty remote will astound you with its 'hewn from granite' build quality.

This particular Isis valve is a one owner unit that has been lovingly and sparingly used and is in absolute mint condition. There are no marks or blemishes at all. It obviously comes complete with everything just like a new unit, the rega interconnect, remote, mains lead, crate and packing, literature and outer shipping box.

There is a LIFETIME warranty on this Rega Isis and also you will be pleased to know that Rega assign and store two spare laser assemblies at the factory for every single Isis in existence, just in case it should ever need repairing. This is a music maker for life. At just a year old and with a new price of well over £7000 this is a relative bargain. In the streaming world in my experience you will need nothing short of a Klimax DS to compete.
