Gail Laughton - Harps of the Ancient Temples First Press; Blade Runner Mystery!

Legendary solo by Gail Laughton, this is possibly one of the most haunting and beautiful releases you will ever hear. This is the ORIGINAL VINYL RECORD ISSUE from 1969, and the only way you could get a copy (at that time) was by actually writing to Laughton, which is what our family did (we asked for 2 copies). Originals of this are now as rare as Hen's Teeth! Recorded by Paul Beaver (of Beaver & Krauss), this has gained cult status over the years, and many people, myself included, find the original mix of this to be sonically superior to the 1978 LP issue by Laurel Records. Oh, and here's a great trivia point: Ridley Scott so loved this music, that he included a short excerpt of it in "Blade Runner ", that beautiful scene in the alley with the Bicycle Riders, and is the only music in the movie Not composed by Vangelis. If you love Classical, Rock, Electronic, and just plain anything interesting and exotically beautiful, then you should snap this up!

Condition Vinyl: Very Good Plus (Record is clean, but over the years has accumulated some surface marks, as this was in the family for 45+ years; this still plays well, though there is some background noise.)

Condition Jacket: Very Good Plus (Still Solid, there is some staining and regular ring wear; spine is intact, there is a top right and bottom right seam split, some staining on the inner gatefold, but still in remarkable shape for its age!)
