SME 3009 SII

This is an early 3009SII (removable headshell) that has been fully restored and rewired by Alfred Keyser of SMEtonearms.com. This arm has been in my family since it was purchased brand new. It literally sat unused for 30 years before I had Alfred restore it. I paid $450 for the rewiring with Cardas wire, replacement of the knife bearings, and replacement of all worn or replaceable parts (see the SMEtonearms.com site for full details) and for the bronze base plate that Alfred highly recommends for top performance. The cueing mechanism works, but not smoothly due to lack of damping fluid. For that reason only, I am listing it a "7". Otherwise it's an "8-9". The bronze base plate and the Ortofon 540mkII cartridge (low hours) are included.
