For sale here is a pair of Snell J-7 monitors in black oak. These speakers are in like new condition with no cosmetic flaws. If the pics look less than perfect, it's the flash, not the speaker. The J-7 is a current model in
The sound is all Snell, but in a modern package. Very open and detailed with not a hint of glare or harshness. Extremely well built. I used them on a pair of 20 inch stands which made for a 36 inch tall speaker in my room.
Always open to trades. In this case I'd be interested in an amp of comparable value.
Snell's lineup and information can be found on their web site. Here's a bit of the info copied from the site:
"Ultra High Performance Full - Range Monitor
The J7 is the best bookshelf monitor ever developed by Snell, and for its small size, among the best ever. At just 16-inches high, the J7 can reproduce bass as well as most tower speakers, with output to concert hall levels. It resolves the micro-details of nuance and texture, while eeriely reproducing a palpable, three-dimensional soundstage.
Developed by Snell’s chief engineer, Joe D’Appolito Ph.D., the J7 is a sophisticated two-way with a very low resonance, silk dome tweeter, and a long excursion 6.5-inch woofer. The crossover is constructed with dedicated circuit boards for both tweeter and woofer. This design assures very low distortion, and optimizes performance when the J7 is biamped or bi-wired. The natural cherry or black painted walnut cabinet with solid metal end caps is virtually resonance free and hand made by Snell in Massachusetts."
I would much prefer a local buyer and am willing to drive 100 miles or so to meet or deliver. As an incentive, I'll throw in the 20 inch stands in the pics.
Paypal is preferred payment with no fee for buyer. Shipping cost listed is for one speaker, I'll pay for the other. Feel free to ask questions.
