Aragon Aurum Classic

AURUM Classic Aragon top of the line pre-amp (no phono no remote). In good shape. I've kept this as a "back up" pre-amp, but now it's time for it to find a new home.

Has the top of the line volume pot on it, it feels like silk ! you don't see this kind of quality these days, especially anywhere near this price.

The Aurum also has balanced outputs, along with single ended on RCA's.

The Aurum, therefore is a progression or upgrade of the 18K, but housed in the older style chassis and faceplate.  It is considered the finest preamp made by Aragon.  It came "standard" with an upgraded version of the IPS, called the Ingot.  One balanced (XLR) output per channel was also included in addition to the two pair of single-ended (RCA) output jacks.  Of course, that meant that the P & G volume pot was standard.  All the best circuitry was then installed in the "prettiest" packaging--the 24K-style chassis and faceplate and had a list price of $1750.
