Ayre Acoustics V-1xe Power Amplifier - Includes Fedex Ground to US [Template]

For sale is the astounding Ayre V-1xe. Powerful, transparent, smooth and musical. This is an original V-1xe 'evolution' model, and is one of the newer V-1xe units you will find out there. It was manufactured (late 2005, according to Michael W. from Ayre) just prior to when the much pricier MX-Rs came out. Feeding it with a fully balanced preamp is highly recommended (which I had previously done).  Heavily biased into class A, this produces an almost tube-like sweetness that still manages to be fast and detailed.

In preparation for an impending move (and accompanying downsizing to powered monitors), this sadly must go.
Fedex ground is included for the price.  Shipping time from Vancouver, BC will typically vary from four to six business days.  Please note that this doesn't include any potential delays with customs. On that note, please note that due to the value of the amp, the recipient's SSN may be requested by Fedex (US Customs).  I don't know what the exact threshold for this is, but it may be for anything about $3000.
Rated conservatively as 'good'.  Along the edges near the top at the rear of the unit, there is a bit of scuffing along the edges of the aluminum (pictured).  Faceplate is great.  A couple of the fins also have the odd faint scratch.  The rearmost fin on the left side of the amp is bent ever so lightly by a couple of degrees.  At 95 lbs, with no easy way of gripping the unit while moving it, it's a potential back destroyer.  I imagine the previous owner must have put some of the unit's weight on it while moving it.  I've only found this to be noticeable when staring straight down at the unit when it's not in a component stand.
