For sale, my old friend B&K ST 202plus power amp. This fantastic amp was great sounding on it's own, but it was modded by Sound Unlimited in Bristol, CT to be a giant killer. The Mods done were: DC Servo Loop Added
OP Amps reworked for more linear operation
All Caps Replaced(Eliminated Cap in Feedback Loop)Rel-Caps\Rifa\Rima\Siememens
BIAS'd to Class A Operation
Star Grounding
Changed Wires to Kimber
Transformer Replaced with a High Current Toroidal
Since it's 20 years old, issues with the amp are a "pop" when turning off, so I turn down the volume when I power off. And a small hum when volume is very loud. This small hum is not necessarily due to this amp, it could be my old preamp.
I do know when it's playing music, it's first rate, very warm and tube like. The mods also gave it a liquid texture with great detail, much better than stock.
Paid over $2500 new for this modded amp back in the late 90s.
