Has the better parts of the SE (SPECIAL EDITION) model. This IS NOT an upgraded one (like the other one here on Audiogon), but original SE model. This also has the BAT-PAK extra large capacitor bank……which does improve the sound, over a standard model. With the optional BAT PAK "depth charge" capacitors. This stereo balanced amp delivers 150 watts into 8 Ohms and doubles into 4 Ohms. The optional capacitor BAT PAK allows it to punch well out of its weight class. It can be bridged to monoblock operation for 300 watts. This amp has an absolutely dead quiet background. It is built like a tank! I have never had a lick of trouble with it. It comes stock with beautiful Cardas binding posts. This unit is a fine representative of BAT's reputation for reliable, upper echelon, musical equipment as well as the meticulous build quality and PRISTINE condition of this piece. The powerfully majestic timbre , immersing one in a vast, deep multilayer soundstage, in addition to great dynamics and low level listening, lends to the outstanding " PRAT " of this amazing amplifier.
