The VX-5 Twenty (not to be mistaken with the V-5) has the magnificent, refined Ayre sound with superlative bass. An extraordinary bargain that I found to be better than amps costing a lot more. Upgraded with all new boards to the Twenty version in 2015 with the double-diamond circuit runs cooler and is significantly better than the original. I cannot say enough good things about this magnificent amp and as one knows Charlie Hansen is a bona fide genius and Ayre is a comoany with a superlative reputation.
This is one of the best values in the industry.
