The late Dr. Dick Brown specialized in perfecting his original amplifier circuit from 1995 and never looked back. 
The B.E.L. 1001 Mk.II (B.E.L. stands for Brown Electronic Labs) has a cult following, is manufactured in very small quantities, and is virtually unobtainable. (One dealer friend has a customer waiting-list six months long.)

  
This american designed and manufactured amplifier produces 50 Watts of pure class A power into 8 ohms.
The BEL 1001's simple, elegant circuit topology is housed in an understated chassis. Massive amounts of heat sinking is simply not necessary as this design uses only 2 output devices per channel. 
The BEL 1001 Mk 5 is able to drive many difficult 3-4 ohm loads with ease.  (Originally demonstrated in systems driving Wilson Audio Watt Puppy 8's / B&W 800 Series 3 way design and Martin Logan Prodigy speakers a few years ago)

STORED IN OUR TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED WAREHOUSE FOR A FEW YEARS, this amp was part of the last batch of amplifiers hand produced by Dick Brown himself prior to his passing.
